A primitive log structure followed soon after, which was constructed by the founds of what [was then] known as the West Beaver Church. They went inot the woods, felled teh trees, trimmed the logs, yoked thier oxen, and withteh log chaings to the spot where was probably the first place of worship along the Little Beaver Valley, and near a spot wehre General Forbes, Col. Boquet and General George Washington camped on thier historic marches in Indian days, for it is a matter of history they followed the Little Beaver and it's low grade across the divide over to Tuscaraws County.-History of West Beaver Church by Elder M.E.
